PRE-K Being Creative and Imaginative

At the moment, lot of our students love doing role plays in the family corner.
They would decide among each other who the mum and the dad will be,
sisters/brothers or even pets!
They enjoyed making their own shopping list, talking to one another
about what to get from the supermarket for breakfast/dinner.

Our Pre-K students come up with great creative and
imaginative ideas during developmental play time!
In the past we had students build,
vacuum cleaners with these tube blocks.
Now, they have started creating long/short/tall dinosaur families!

Today at language time, we have given our
students the ownership to choose whatever they want to talk about.
Some students chose to talk about their toys from home,
or about their favorite hobbies or things - skiing, skateboarding, airplanes, Rapunzel etc,
or even decided to choose their favorite book!
We heard so many awesome stories and ideas/thoughts from our students.
Some talked about flying on an airplane to go to different countries, or to see grandparents living in a different part of Japan.
We talked about different types of dinosaurs after reading the
'Dinosaur Roar' Book - sharp teeth, slow/fast, what they eat, big/small, etc

We also talked about what we did in the weekend on Monday
so they each drew a picture to share their story...

As we are learning about feelings,
our students had the opportunity to create their own
faces to describe their feelings and emotions using loose parts.
