Grade 2 Chinatown

In the beginning of the week, students concluded their interviews about migration. We had a guest speaker from grade 5 to share what she did during her migration unit in the grade 2. One of our own students went to grade 1 to share her knowledge and fascination with space. We also had 3 students share during our Tuesday morning meeting. What risk-takers!

In math, students made their posters of information they collected from their classmates. They went around to answer questions about each of the graphs. I'll post their graphs next week!

We ended the week with our field trip to Chinatown. The students enjoyed seeing all the different parts of Chinese culture that they brought here. Before the trip, students shared their reasons of why there is such a place in Japan. We ended the trip with lunch at Yamashita Park.
