Learner Profile Week 10 Term 1

In our Morning Meeting, we talked about Kara Fan. She is a 14 year old budding scientist and risk-taker who won $25,000 (2.5 Million Yen) in a 3M sponsored contest. Her story goes like this- Kara's Grandmother was sick with a problem that antibiotics didn't solve. So, Kara invented a spray on Band-aid that was made of nano silver  particles. She tested her product using an electronic microscope at a local university. Kara got her idea because historical people used to eat with silverware to kill germs on food.
