Grade 3 Field Trip to Edo Museum in Tokyo

This week grade three had the opportunity to visit the Edo Museum.  During our inquiry unit, the students are learning how to read maps as well as looking at how places change over time.  They were tasked to take videos, pictures or write notes to help them with their summative project for Inquiry.  They enjoyed trying different activities from the Edo period and exploring the museum looking at how Tokyo has changed over time.

When we returned from the field trip we  began working on our Venn Diagrams where we will compare and contrast Edo Period Tokyo to present day Tokyo!  It was great to hear the different conversations about what they thought of the museum and the Edo Period.

This week we also reviewed some of our language topics by playing different memory and matching games.  The kids enjoyed putting their knowledge into these new games!
