Grade 4 has been working on the concept of multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 & 1000 - investigating patterns and connections with our unit of inquiry. We have been using manipulatives and diagrams to help us understand and explain the concept.
Recreating the Solar System
Alongside Grade 1, who are finding out about the Solar System in their unit of inquiry, the children teamed up to create a model solar system for the school. Grade 4 were exemplary in their caring attitude and support of their fellow students. Much fun was had with paper and glue! Please stay posted for the finished product.
Exploration Atlas
The children are busy gathering information and creating new entries for our class atlas on exploration. The children have chosen a variety of topics from ocean exploration, black holes, robotic explorers to specific explorers such as Charles Darwin.
