Music class - Rhythm and pitch exercise with boomwhacker, and composition

In our music classes for the last couple of weeks, we focused on learning about what rhythm is, the high and low pitch and how those music aspects are applied in instruments.
Understanding the different kinds of rhythm and resting; higher and lower pitch of the notes using our new instrument called the 'boomwhacker'  which was impressive!

In Grade 6 class, we learned how to create music(composition) with using DAW, MIDI and sequencer. It was a good opportunity to learn how instruments work in form of songs and the way to express their thoughts and emotions through music.

Music class in SIS

Our students at SIS enjoyed participating in music class.

The main goal for this term in music class is to be able to read rhythms from music score and apply that on their instrument. Our school is using various instruments to give them various experiences of instruments. Hand bells, recorder, melodica, piano are been used for our music classes and contemporary music instruments such as guitar, bass, drum, keyboard are used in ASP ensemble class. I am so proud of all our students with their performance at the Celebration of Learning and the progress in music classes!
