Grade 3 Japanese Culture Day and Science Experiments

Grade 3 had an exciting week this week.  We started the week off with Japanese culture day.  The students watched a ninja performance, learned to throw rubber shurikens and how to be calm and quiet like a ninja.  The students even got to ask them questions about their performance.  It was exciting to watch the ninjas fight and work together.

We ended our week working on experiments with grade 5 for Inquiry.  This unit we are learning about weathering, erosion and various weather elements.  Students participated in various experiments including water erosion, wind erosion, eruption with baking soda and vinegar, coke and mentos and making rock candy.
