The Grade 5 classroom has been a hive of activity this week in preparation for the celebration of learning. We've been finalising our posters and thinking about how we want to present our information and learning to parents next week. The children have been looking back over their work and reflecting on what they have learnt including what approaches to learning skills they have developed along the way.
In music, the children have been working alongside grades 3 and 4 with Mr Thomas. They have been working really hard to work as an ensemble by collaborating, listening carefully to each other and reflecting on what they need to do to be successful as a group.
Next week is literacy week! The children have been reading amazing amounts already to reach our reading goal. There is a lot going on next. As well as reading competitions there will be book character costume parade, which will take place on Thursday, and a writing competition. Below is the advertising poster created by Grade 5 students to get the students of the school excited about the event.
