Grade 5 and 6 played a card game called "Spoons."
The object of the game was to match like fractions together.
We drew cards and discarded the ones that we didn't want.
This fast moving game helped us learn Math. The winners lifted up their spoon in the air when they had obtained 4 matches.
The children experimented with light accidentally. We found out that a translucent sheet could make a single box of light.
If we added 2 sheets then we got 2 boxes of light.
3 sheets would make 4 boxes of light. We will use this idea in our Celebration of Learning performance to make a dazzling sun.
We did made a timeline in ICT class on the computer.
The students have been collaboratively working on their Padlet diaries finding the link between world events.
One of our Grade 5 students gave a presentation on caring at a school-wide Morning Meeting. This is a part of the PYP Learner Profile.
