Week 3: Pre-K and Kindergarten

During the 3rd week of summer school, Pre-K and Kindergarten friends explored different ways to tell stories and express feelings. We talked about different elements in a story such as characters, setting, beginning, middle, and end. Throughout the week students worked individually and in groups to create their own story. The class decided to do a puppet show to showcase their stories.

"Spiderman vs. Black Spiderman"

"Jack and the Beast"

"Aliens Attack"

"The Land of Unicorn"

"Going to the Restaurant"

Pre-K and Kindergarten friends made collages to express themselves.

In math, Pre-K and Kindergarten friends practiced recognizing "how many" without counting and learned different ways to show numbers using tallies, pictures, 5 frames, and dominoes. We connected this to playing games with dice and keeping score using tallies.
