I would like to welcome everyone back,
and hope you all had an amazing, relaxing Winter Break!
A warm welcome to Daniel who started in our classroom and is doing so well!
Our students were being principled and caring for taking care of our new friend.
At the beginning of this week, we drew on a piece of paper
what we did during the holiday,
and shared it to our classmates!
We also asked each other questions too.
We got together with Preschool and made
snow using baking powder, flour and vegetable oil.
We took turns and used our hands to mix them together,
and observed how the texture changed as we mixed.
then... we left it in the freezer for a day...
...students said it felt cold, soft and like real snow!
Then we had a deeper conversation how do we make ice
and what happens when it gets warm,
and this really got our students to think deeply
We had 'Game Time',
students chose a game to play with whoever they want to play with.
All these games gave the students the opportunity to enhance their
communication skills in English.
Yuna brought in lots of stickers to share with her friends,
and everyone absolutely loved it!
They decorated their old name tags, papers with writing and drawing on them!
After reading the book called 'Charlie the Firefighter',
'The Wonderful things you will be' and
'Help' storybooks that got us thinking
What do I want to be when I grow up?
The students all drew what they want to be
and shared with their classmates!
