We started our new inquiry unit. We discussed different ways we can express ourselves to communicate with others. As inquirers, we asked questions and have started to wonder about how people use body movements to express themselves.
One of our students wanted to share what was going on in Australia and asked the class if they wanted to help out in some way. The whole class was on board and they all have started to take action. Students shared different ideas of what they could do and finally decided that the best thing was to donate money. They have been working on the next steps for this to happen. I am so proud of the students!
We have been started to explore poetry during language time as one way to express themselves.
In math, we continued to work on understanding place value and started ordering and comparing numbers.
