Japanese Culture Day 5 and 6

The students collaborated and taught each other a song on the keyboard. 

The children made a Lotus Diagram as an assessment tool to show what they learned about poetry. This form is like a graphic organizer with expanding categories. 

We had Japanese Culture Day today. Here we are in our happi coats.

We made these in Japanese class.

We watched and learned a Shinagawa dance. 

The Grade 5 students were the announcers at the event. 

The dance went well with concentric circles. 

We made a kaleidoscope, played Japanese games and watched a movie after the dances. 

A special thanks to the Japanese teacher who made everything possible.
