Today was Japanese Culture Day at SIS and everyone got to participate in some great Japanese activities and appreciate the country that we all live in. First, the students all wore the happi that they made in Japanese class and got to watch the traditional Japanese dance, Shin Buyou, performed by Japanese dance teachers.
Then, the students got to learn the Shinagawa traditional dance and performed all together!
Finally, the students enjoyed constructing kaleidoscopes and playing some Japanese games. Everyone had a great time and were happy to take home their happis and kaleidoscopes!
