Teaching
children to learn to develop their phonic skills which will in turn, enhance
their ability to read, is one of the most exciting and enjoyable parts of my
day.
To see the
children go from learning phonics to reading their first book with words, is a
journey, which all children should be proud of and it is a cause for great
celebration!
Children have to develop more confidence in themselves before they begin to vocalize more. This begins the moment they realize that they can pronounce words correctly like older people. It is only through phonics reading that children will develop the ability to pronounce words very well.
