Grade 4 has inquired through the phases of "Tuning In", "Finding Out", "Sorting Out" and "Going Further". We were guided by the following questions:
Is success always good and failure always bad?
How does my brain work?
How can we take care of ourselves to become better?
Now students are starting to take all those ideas and "Make Conclusions". Everyone is in the process of planning stories that will be turned into books. They are taking all the ideas we have talked about and applying them to their stories while making conclusions about what they understand from our unit. In the next step, the students will "Take Action" with their books by sharing them with other students and parents in the school and try to teach others about how success, challenge and failure can strengthen everyone. Here is a look at the students in the planning phase of their writing.
