Grade 3 - Creating Print Ads

As part of our new unit, How We Express Ourselves, grade 3 students are looking at print ads and creating their own ad to make a connection to how art can reach larger audiences.  We began our unit by looking at various types of print ads from magazines, newspapers, flyers, pamphlets, and books.  We then chose a product and designed an ad for it.  The ad had to have color, pricing, contact information, the product and most importantly their art had to attract people to want to buy it.  Next week they will try to sell their product to students in grade 2 and will have the opportunity to see if their ad is attractive, so stay tuned!
