Grade 2 Term 1 Week 2 Who We Are

This week we are getting well adjusted to our class and school routines.  In math, we used manipulatives to look at properties of shapes. For music class we are teaming up with grade 3 to learn how to play the recorder. We are doing the Recorder Karate program where students can move up belts by learning to play songs that increase in difficulty the higher they move up in belts. The students are excited to take part in the program!

 

                 

 

We started our Who We Are unit of inquiry and talked about what a community is and the different communities around us. We also started to inquire about different roles within those communities.
