For our Lines of Inquiry - What plants and animals provide for us?

Moving on from;

where does animals live, what do they eat, what do they need to survive etc

We have started learning about what animals provide for us.

Each student came up and classified the 

food, material and different plant/animal products under the animals cards.

Lot of our students were interested in bees making honey

so we colored our own bees and read a book about the bees together.

When students came in the next morning,

they were all surprised to see the beehive up on our ceiling.

"The bees must have made their beehive!"

We all imagined ourselves as being one of the busy bees

and we used our finger to dip into the flower (nectar) and made prints on the paper (as our bee box) to making honey.

We also made our little bead bees in our beehive

We also did a building the blocks competition this week!
