Pre-K: WATER WORKS

This week in pre-k we did many things, but what stood out the most this week was learning about water for science week.

We were lucky to have grade 5/6 helpers come into our classroom and do fun experiments with us! We felt like real scientists.

We started the week learning about floating. We made play dough boats and tested whether they would sink or float.

We pocked sticks through a bag without making the water spill

We made animations using water and whiteboard markers.

We used shaving foam to create clouds. OUR FAVORITE ACTIVITY!!

Maths and Literacy this week were just as fun! We played ABC memory and started to get ready for kindergarten by using our word wall and understanding how beginning sounds and pictures can help us guess a word.

In our classroom following the science week theme of 'water'.We started to understand the important role water plays in our every day life. As we start feel the heat of summer and realized how water can help cool our bodies down during hot days. We've introduced a new friend "Mr water spray" who sprays our necks and faces after running around in the hot sun, we learnt that cooling our bodies down is really important otherwise we could get very sick! We have had lots of fun with Mr spray and think its very funny!
