Grade 3 Being Inquirers

This week Grade 3 went on a field trip to the Ueno Zoo.  Prior to going to the zoo, each group was given a map of the zoo and had to decide what they were most interested in to see, as well as think about food chains.  They had to determine from a park map what animals would be in a food chain. They also looked at signs and symbols on the map.  Their task at the zoo was to look for signs and symbols and try to understand what each one meant.  It was a great opportunity for students to determine what they wanted to learn at the zoo!
