Grade One Week 21: How the World Works

This week Grade One began a new unit of inquiry, How the World Works. We discussed what scientist do and how things change. 

In Math this week we began to learn about measurement in centimeters and meters. We sorted things that could be measured in either centimeters or meters. Next, we practiced accurately measuring classroom objects in centimeters. The students all enjoyed watching the Bill Nye the Science Guy episode on measurement.
