This week, we started on our new inquiry for How The World Works.
We looked at different materials we could find in the classroom and sorted and scaled them in different ways. Students worked together to come up with different situations where the materials would be useful based on their properties, and what impact the materials have on the Earth.
Maths-
We have started our new unit on circles. Students were introduced to pi, and traced different circles from around the classroom in order to measure their ratio, diameter and circumference.
Language-
We have been writing opening paragraphs for narrative writing, using literal and figurative language.
Science Week-
This week is Science Week. Students have been taking part in science centres and estimation activities. Today, we will have our sail car race. The winners will be announced at Tuesday assembly.
