In our inquiry last week the children learned that food is the fuel for the body. They were very curious about how the body actually turns food into fuel, so this week we learned more about the human digestive system. After reading a book about the body and watching two videos (Slim Goodbody and The Magic School Bus) about the digestive system, the children worked in teams to build a life size model of the digestive system and label its parts.
