Grade 5: Week 14

This week in Grade 5...

We went to the Curian Theater to practice our performances for the winter festivities. We have been practicing our puppet show this week and have memorized our script. We felt proud of ourselves and we're excited to perform it for you. For our music performance, everyone has improved their singing. It is amazing to see lots of children playing different instruments.

We have continued to make connections between the world and human rights. We believe that Greta Thunberg is a risk taker because she stands up and makes her voice heard. Even though she is 16 years old, she tries to make a difference and inspires action in others. We added her to our Learner Profile Wall of Fame.

We researched periods of Japanese history from the Jomon period all the way to the Meiji restoration. Everyone then presented their learning to each other. We learned a lot about the history of the country in which we live. It was really interesting and everyone worked really hard.

This week's blog was brought to you by the Grade 5 students.
