In maths, Grade 5 have been reviewing what they know about the four operations and have tried to be efficient mathematicians by selecting written and mental methods to solve problems. We then explained to our classmates how we solved the problems.
In inquiry, we became historians. We then made connections between our learning and the lines of inquiry by looking at a range of historical sources.
Grade 5 collaborated with Grade 4 and 6 this week. We helped Grade 6 by assessing and giving constructive feedback to help them develop their presentation skills. The children really enjoyed the activities that they made to go alongside their presentations.
On Friday, Grade 4 prepared well thought out, challenging scavenger hunts for both grade 5 and 6 to complete. We used maps and followed clues in order get to the end and win prizes.
Grade 5 have had a great start to the year. I'm sure that moving forward they will continue to be as fantastic. We look forward to seeing you all at the Winter Performance on Monday. If you are unable to make it, have a lovely winter break and happy new year!
