Thursday was our Celebration of Learning and Parents' Morning! Our Grade 1 scientists proudly presented our weather journals and science journals to our family members. It was exciting to show our observations and graphs for our weather journal, and also to explain the scientific process we went through for each of our experiments.
During Parents' Morning, we worked on another "Guess that Sound" experiment. We had four bags with different contents, and we had to rely on our sense of hearing to think about what might be inside the bag. We thought about if the things inside sounded light or heavy, depending on the sound it made. Sometimes it sounded like there was nothing inside! Compared to the last time we did this experiment, we concluded that it was much more difficult to rely on just our sense of hearing when the sound was muffled inside a bag.
