Grade 1 Week 12 Where We Are in Place and Time

Grade 1 has continued to learn about families and what makes a family. They created family trees to represent the members of their own families, and they all turned out wonderfully! They are unique representations of family, as some students chose to write the names of their family members in Turkish, Korean, Japanese, or English. We have been practicing very hard for the upcoming Celebration of Learning, as the class will be presenting an original skit about a family celebration.

JIES also participated in PPK this week, in an effort to clean up the area surrounding the school. Grade 1 did a great job co-operating and helping the community!
