Week 14 Where We Are in Place and Time Grade 6

Our classes have been enjoying the fall weather!

We are making a timeline with music that we are going to play at the Celebration of Learning during intermission.
The children also have organized the music into a book.
For our "Where We Are in Place and Time" unit, we have quite an extensive book collection for research!

Recently, we have been curious and inquiring into Science.
Grades 5 and 6 have been doing case studies with simple machines that include Science and Language Arts.

Our group found the main idea, adjectives that describe forces, and nouns that tell the people who implement forces.

We did some problem solving in Mathematics involving finding the height and volume of an aquarium.
The students used Padlet (an internet storage file program) to collaboratively find similarities between the Inca and Egyptian cultures.

Grade 3 - Week 13: Where We Are In Place And Time

This week we went on our field trip to Kodomo no Kuni!
It was a great experience for us to use our knowledge of place as we went orienteering.
Students worked together in groups, using a map and a compass, to find signs hidden in the forest.
It was a great outdoor activity where we had to use our co-operation and leadership skills.
