Grade 2 Sharing the Planet Week 28

Grade 2 class has been learning all about habitats. Students have been hard at work finishing our mural that shows the habitat from the book "Where the Wild Things Are". Everyone got to be really creative and made their own Wild Things as well! They are all very unique. We analyzed the habitat features from the story book and thought about what animals might live there in real life.

On Friday, we went to visit Yoyogi Park. In class we thought about what kinds of animals may live in a city park. We had a lot of fun walking around and looking at different plants and animals. We mostly saw birds and insects, but we know that many more animals live there, but they are good at hiding from people!

The class was really excited to find a big hole in a tree, and we tried to think what might live inside!

We found an interesting type of plant as well, and the students will investigate what type of plant it was next week.
