Grade 3 Cherry Blossoms
This week Grade 3 took art class to the park. It was a beautiful day for a walk, especially with the Cherry Blossoms at peak. We took a walk to the Meguro River in Shinagawa to see the Cherry Blossoms and then went to the park to have snack and draw pictures of the beautiful flowers. The kids enjoyed smelling the flowers and looking at the beautiful colors. It was great to see their reaction to seeing the flowers and their drawings interpreted the way they viewed the cherry blossoms!
Sharing the Planet
We
have started our new unit, Sharing the Planet. To begin the unit, we did a pre
assessment, to find out what the students know about living and non living
things. We did this as a whole class. We then split the class into groups, so
they could work together in small groups and discuss what they thought were
living and non living.

Grade 4 - Being Responsible for Energy Use
After learning about how humans get their electrical energy and the impact it has on the environment, the 4th Grade students determined that it is important to be responsible for it and affect the environment as little as possible. They came up with different ways to be responsible and made posters to share with others to encourage them to do the same!
