Grade 2 has been busily working on our current unit about organization. We did some research about a variety of NGO's and who they help. Now the class is working on creating their own organizations. Many students chose to create an organization committed to helping animals and the earth.
Using a multi-media approach to art, the class created their own art pieces inspired by the dangers and effects that oil spills have on animals and habitats. They used a combination of pencil crayon, paints, and crayons to create a meaningful message to their art.
As well, we have begun to prepare for our final Celebration of Learning this school year. The decorations are looking great so far!
