Preschool

I hope everyone had a nice three day weekend.

We had a great week as we continued our unit of inquiry: Friends and Family. We learned about each
other, our families, and continued our studies on literacy and math.

We started the week off with show and tell, and we shared our favorite toys with the class.
Everyone had a blast learning about each other and sharing together.

This week was very artsy, and we made three art projects. We have been studying the letter T
and triangles, so we made a project combining the two. They practiced cutting out triangles and
gluing them to a large T because T is for triangle. Everyone’s project shows off their personality.

We read books about family, and we learned about our immediate family. We then practiced drawing
our mom and dad, and later in the week, we made a wooden stick family portrait at the park.
The project was so cute!

During math, we sang 5 Little Monkeys Jumping On the Bed which everyone found very funny.
To create a better understanding, we used a printable bed, and five little monkeys and practiced
the song and counting. Then for more fun, we hid colorful balls around the classroom, and practiced
counting how many we could find. Everyone really loved that game!

Everyone is becoming familiar with how to share and interact with each other. This week, we had a lot
of students sharing during centers and developmental play. Through these past weeks, we are
learning how to work together, and sometimes, even how to clean together!

Finally, we have continued practicing how to use the bells to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. We always enjoy music class!

Enjoy your weekend!
